The 2019 Illumination Book Awards has awarded The Joy of Job, An Investigator’s Perspective on the Most Righteous Man on Earth a Gold Medal in Theology.
With the motto, “Shining a Light on Exemplary Christian Books,” the Illumination Book Awards annually recognize the best Christian books. “These winners come from well-known publishers and independents with a passion for the Word. Their works challenge, comfort, enlighten, and engage. They truly offer illumination to readers,” states the Award’s web site. The 2019 Illumination Awards are open to all books written in English. Judging was based on content, design, and production quality, with emphasis on innovation and creative ways of expressing a Christian worldview. The judging panel includes clergy and experts from the fields of education, book production and bookselling. The Illumination Awards donates a portion of the entry fees each year to a worthy charitable organization. The current beneficiary is Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing organization that builds affordable housing in partnership with people in need.
